Lois has delighted thousands on concert stages both nationally and internationally. She began singing at the tender age of seven and later won honorary scholarships to the Juilliard school of Music and the Manhattan School of Music. After winning two more scholarships which sent her to Europe, she then spent two and a half years singing in Switzerland at the Zurich Opera House and the St. Gallen Opera House and performed at the Amalfi Festival in Italy. She won acclaim as the “Queen of the Night” in the Magic Flute, “Blonde” in The Abduction from the Seraglio and “Fiametta” in Boccacio.
Returning to the States, she won the Metropolitan Opera Award and performed with the Metropolitan Opera Studio and the Metropolitan Opera. Other credits include Summer Stock at the Civic Light Opera in Pittsburgh, the Brunswick Summer Playhouse in Maine and the Chatauqua Opera Theatre where she sang in such musicals as West Side Story, Music Man, Oklahoma and Song of Norway.
